Research Group for Work, Organizational, and Personnel Psychology

The research and teaching in the Research Group for Work, Organizational, and Personnel Psychology are concerned with the relations between individuals and their work context, with a special focus on the harmonious development of well-being and performance among people, groups, and organizations.

The specific research foci of the current group members within organizational psychology, occupational health psychology, and personnel psychology are listed below. We conduct research using both quantitative (e.g., questionnaire-based survey studies, register-based studies) and qualitative methods (e.g., participatory observation and interviews). 

Organizational Psychology

  • Leadership (e.g., training, assessment)

Occupational Health Psychology

  • Psychosocial work environment (assessment and intervention)
  • Social relations at work, mainly in the areas of workplace bullying, workplace threats/violence, and workplace sexual harassment
  • Mental health at work, especially depression and burnout
  • Work attendance behaviour
  • Work ability
  • Ageing at work
  • Labour market attachment

Personnel Psychology

  • Personality and individual differences
  • Selection and assessment (e.g., selection procedures, technology-enhanced assessment, performance measurement)
  • Recruitment
